Resolution Solution

Point of View:
Let’s face it; it’s that time of the year when everybody seems to make a resolution to improve in the New Year. We are quick to make goals like getting in shape, respecting our parents, reading the Bible daily, or getting a job, but slow in actually taking the proper steps to achieve them. Many of us can look back at our pasts and remember resolutions we made and never followed through with. I believe that we never really meet our resolution because we don’t make them priorities in our lives and don’t see rewards quickly. We have to learn to stand strong and stay the course.

The Challenge:
I want to challenge you to make a resolution to read the Bible daily this year. Let’s make achievable goals like agreeing to read a verse a day. This may seem small but every journey begins with a first step. By choosing this challenge you are saying, “I believe that all things are possible with God and I want Him impacting my everyday life!” When we involve God in our daily lives, we will experience the truth of His Word and the real power to change.

Prayer Points:
Points to remember in prayer:
- Thank God for all the things He has blessed you with this past year.
- Ask for the strength and knowledge to stand strong against temptations.
- And lastly, pray that God would help you stay committed to reading His Word.

The Word:
I can do all things through Christ, which strengtheneth me. - Philippians 4:13

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” - Mark 10:27
